PONDS AND WILDLIFE FRIENDLY PLANTS AND AREAS

The pond plays an important part for wildlife in the garden, and is a watering hole for all sorts of animals, birds and insects. There are also a variety of pond fish, some of which are over 20 years old now in 2023. There are various water features, and even the reflective pond in the front garden becomes a dipping pond for birds, bees and other insects who need a drink.

The summer house is a great vantage point for enjoying a relaxing cup of tea and as a place to view the main garden area. The water feature on the patio is a haven for frogs and we have even had some newts in it. The sound of trickling water can be very soothing.
